How much does a wedding DJ cost?

Our standard Wedding DJ package starts at $1,795 (inc. GST) for a 5-hour reception, including a professional DJ with your personalised playlist. Add photo booth hire or an MC and it becomes a bundled package — get in touch with your date and venue for a tailored quote.

How do we check if you're available for our date?

Send us your date, venue, and rough guest count through our enquiry form and we'll confirm availability and send a quote — usually within a day or two. If we're already booked, we'll let you know and suggest nearby available dates where we can.

How does booking actually work?

  1. We send your quote (valid for 14 days).

  2. You accept, and we send your Service Agreement and deposit invoice.

  3. A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your date, due within 7 days.

  4. Around 6 months out, we send your Music Planner to lock in your song choices.

  5. Your balance is due 14 days before your wedding.

  6. We handle setup, sound check, the whole night, and pack down.

What's included in the standard DJ package?

5-hour DJ hire, a professional wedding DJ, a personalised playlist built together via your Music Planner, 2x speakers, 2x wireless handheld microphones (one for your MC, one spare for speeches), sound-reactive ambient dance floor lighting, and full equipment setup, sound test and pack-down.

How much space/time do you need to set up?

We need venue access 1.5 hours before your reception starts, and around 30 minutes after it ends to pack down. If your booking includes a photo booth, it needs an indoor space of at least 3m (L) x 3m (W) x 3m (H).

What if we need extra hours or want to change our booking time?

No problem — just let us know as early as you can. We'll update your Service Agreement and invoice to reflect the change. Keep in mind significant changes (booking date, function room, a big jump in guest numbers) may require a new quote.

What add-ons are available?

  • Deluxe Venue Lighting (moving lights, mood/colour palette) — $695

  • First Dance Spotlight — $365

  • First Dance Dry Ice Display — $595

  • First Dance Fireworks & Dry Ice Display — $1,100

A few venues supply their own in-house fireworks/dry ice vendor and won't allow outside suppliers — we'll always check this with your venue before confirming.

What's the Music Planner?

It's where you record your song choices for every key moment of the night — bridal party and newlywed entrances, cake cutting, first dance, plus your general background and dance floor vibe. We recommend filling it out gradually: jot songs down as you think of them, and feel free to share Spotify playlists rather than listing everything manually. We'll check in as your date approaches, and do a final review with you 1–2 weeks out.

Do you provide an MC?

Yes — our Wedding MC package can be added alongside your DJ, including a pre-wedding consultation, run sheet coordination, and hosting from guest welcome through to farewell.

Do you do photo booths?

Yes — our photo booth package includes an open-air style setup, a Canon DSLR camera, unlimited sessions, a personalised strip logo, complimentary backdrop, a dedicated operator, and digital copies delivered after your event. It needs an indoor space of at least 3m x 3m x 3m.

How do we pay, and when?

We accept direct deposit (EFT) or credit/debit card (a 1.75% surcharge applies to card payments) — we're not able to accept cash at this time. Your deposit is due within 7 days of accepting your quote, and your balance is due 14 days before your event.

What's your cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellation fees beyond that scale depending on how close to your event date you cancel — get in touch and we'll walk you through the specifics for your booking.

Do you cover corporate events too?

Yes — alongside weddings, we provide DJs, MCs and AV for corporate events, private celebrations, and more. For larger-scale corporate AV, livestreaming, or hybrid event production, our sister brand evstudios.co handles that side of things.

How quickly will you reply to our enquiry?

We aim to get back to you within a day or two of your enquiry. Our office days are Monday–Thursday, so enquiries sent Friday–Sunday may take a little longer to hear back on.
